Utah's Summit County was a virtual beehive of activity during the 1860's. Butch Cassity's Hole in the Wall Gang roamed the hills while twenty-seven sawmills and hundreds of loggers worked furiously to supply 2500 ties for every mile of railroad track built by the Union Pacific.
